My story

Hi, I'm Dorka, a Hungarian maker now living in Utrecht. I'm happiest with something in my hands: a crochet hook and a ball of yarn, a lump of polymer clay, an armful of flowers, a length of fabric that's waiting to become something.

Dorothea's Crafts grew out of that. I shape every piece by hand, without moulds, so each cameo, crocheted tomato and flower-covered table is a little bit its own. I love the tiny details most: a blossom no bigger than a fingertip, a stitch that makes a face smile.
